Mikaela has been working as a makeup artist for over 25 years within the fashion, commercial, film, advertising, television and music industry and with key figures from the arts & entertainment world.
Her makeup skills are very versatile and range from beauty & hair (including wigs & hairpieces) to special effects.
She has worked with some of the industry’s most prestigious and exciting directors including Mike Figgis, Jamie Hewlett & Daniel Garcia and for brands such as Adidas, Gorillaz, Nike, Agent Provocateur & Getty Images.
She has worked extensively with broadcasters including The BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Discovery Channel, Dave & UKTV and production companies such as Red Bee, Passion Pictures, Eagle Rock Films, Dazed Film & TV, Darling Films, Bare Films & EMAP.
Her editorial work has appeared in publications including Dazed & Confused, The Guardian, GQ, The Observer and i-D and she has collaborated with many high profile photographers such as Rankin, Perou & Lorenzo Agius.
Some of her most memorable jobs include transforming Banksy into an old age pensioner using special effects makeup, lace wigs and lace hairpieces for his exploit at Tate Britain, during one of his earliest stunts. Banksy Video
